To be accountable for Instrument discipline Technical Integrity across the contract team. o To deliver engineering work as a member of the Client Engineering function. o To monitor competency and productivity of discipline members across all Instrument staff across the Client E&C contract. o Negotiate for and obtain additional discipline resources where needed. o Coaching and mentoring members of discipline. Supervisory and Managerial Duties: o Must be able to lead and manage a team of instrument engineers and designers Main Duties: o To be accountable for Instrument discipline Technical Integrity across the contract team. o To deliver engineering work as a member of the Client E&C Engineering function. o To monitor competency and productivity of discipline members across all Instrument staff across the Client E&C contract. o Negotiate for and obtain additional discipline resources where needed. o Coaching and mentoring members of discipline. Health and Safety Responsibilities: Education & Qualifications: o Degree and Chartered status preferred. Specific Training / Specialist Skills: o Must be able to work to an agreed scope, budget and schedule. o Technically responsible for instrument equipment specification and selection for project, review and approval of work produced by subordinate instrument engineers and designers. Experience: o Must have experience of managing an instrument team. o Experience of common platform systems and interfaces. Personal Skills: o Good oral and written communications essential. o Interface with client technical authority.
