Due to the variety of subsea engineering jobs it is impossible to say what qualities the ideal candidate would have. As a benchmark we would suggest that all candidates should posses: a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical or engineering subject; at least five years experience working in a relevant subsea environment; good communication skills; and a working knowledge of offshore best practices and legislation within the oil and gas industry. Post graduate qualifications are strongly preferred in many posts.
